This past Sunday, February 28th, was the warmest day we’ve had so far this year, and it isn’t even Spring yet. Jessica and John wanted to go down to her dad’s place on Belews Creek Lake. It was just a perfect day ever to be shooting their engagement photos. The sun sparkled on the lake and like me, who doesn’t like something that sparkles. On my drive to the lake, I knew it was going to be one of those perfect sessions. If you don’t know, Jessica is one of my close friends. She is the owner and hairstylist at Salon 111 in Kernersville, NC. Her sister is also a makeup artist, Charlotte Elizabeth Makeup. When I arrived the beautiful dashing couple was ready, nervous, but ready! Jessica was looking stunning from head to toe in a little white dress. Perfect! Later in the session, she changed into to a lace quarter length sleeve red dress that was also a winner!  The red dress popped the scenery with color. Let’s not leave out the handsome groom-to-be, he was dressed in his best. Together they are perfect!!!! They danced out on the pier, looking magical in the photos! Though when they got on the sailboat is my favorite part. The day turned to dusk, and everything glowed.

John and Jessica met through mutual friends about ten years ago. It was about the same time I first met John and Jessica too through the same group of friends. Back then we were all young, fresh out of high school, and no one was serious about love. If you had told us all then that Jessica and John would one day get married, we would have all laughed and smiled. On November 25, 2015, John popped the question and, of course, Jessica said YES!
