My last wedding of 2021 was on December 19th, in Winston-Salem NC, Jacob and Marisa said “I do” at the historic Barn at Reynolda Village. I don’t think my year would have been completed without one of the most peaceful weddings I’ve ever photographed. The couple who met at UNC at Chapel Hill planned their intimate ceremony in about 2 months. After the date was set all of their vendors perfectly lined up creating a dream team. The wedding day started off with Jacob and Marisa seeing each other before the ceremony. Jacob had his ways with Marisa, how he calmed her and heart warming actions that I noticed throughout their wedding day. We stepped away from Jacob and Marisa to share a moment to themselves. In that private moment they also exchanged their vows, alone and I was in complete awe of it. The entire day I felt peace, no rush, no fast timeline. Every moment was so delightful and calm. Marisa is a bride after my own heart as I adored her style so much. She wore a custom designed light blush dress by Lea-Ann Belter and a pearl studded veil. Marisa removed her veil to add a headpiece for the reception. I love her style for classic elegance. They had gorgeous florals in the charming setting that only The Barn at Reynolda Village offers – it truly was a fairytale! These two had smiles that lit up every single room and a very unique way of making each person feel special, family was very special, and I am so honored I got to work with them, and know them both! As I’ve said before when the day is over and after a sendoff, do not skip doing a private dance at the end. Congratulations Jacob and Marisa!
