When your best friend’s little sister is getting proposed to and her boyfriend asks for your help,  it’s easy to get pretty creative!

The day started like any other Monday. TC and Emily have Monday’s off and the weather was perfect, spite it being very chilly. TC had little notes for Emily through out the day. The first note he left on the counter with a cup of coffee read, “I love you, see you soon.” TC and Colton left to go hang out at a friend’s house for a few hours. Tc gave no explanation and was avoiding Emily’s text. Ashley and their mother arrived at Emily’s house around noon. Emily immediately started asking questions about their random visit and how TC left a peculiar note that morning. Emily went to get the laundry out of the dryer as Ashley sneaked into the her bedroom to leave a box and note from TC. When Emily returned and spotted the box, she asked, “what is this?” All Ashley could say was “I don’t know,” and shrugged her shoulders. In the box was a long-sleeve, pink-rose, sequin dress and a note that read “you will look amazing in this.” Emily’s eyes went wide and again asked, “what is this” Ashley replied “I’m guessing we should do your hair and makeup!”

After getting ready, Emily uncertainly got in the car with her mom and Ashley. On the corner of the passenger seat was another note saying, “When I’m with you, I feel like I’m on top of the world. Meet me there.” This completely confused Emily of TC’s whereabouts.

Ashley drove Emily and their mom towards Pilot Mountain. As they pulled off the highway, Emily figured that was where TC was. They all arrived at the top of the mountain and pulled in the first parking place available. Colton was standing there alone and overly excited to greet his mom. After handing her a bouquet of flowers he handed her the fourth and final note from TC. “Daddy is waiting for you, follow me.” Colton (ever so cute) grabbed his mommy’s hand and walked to the gate that lead out to the cliff sides of Pilot Mountain. TC was standing out under a tree in a black suit and black bow tie, smiling as big as he could. He grabbed her hand as soon as she reached him and he went down to one knee. With a few tears, TC asked the love of his life to marry him and she said “YES!” Emily had a little speculation about the proposal from the first note but never in her wildest dreams expected TC to set all this up!
