If you’re the hopeless romantic like me then your probably a huge Nicholas Sparks fan. I love everything about his books and the movies too. I get so lost in them. Sparks is a North Carolina Native, all of his books are based in North Carolina, South Carolina or Georgia. “ The Longest Ride” was based in the Piedmont and Western Carolina. Very close to home for us and it was very fitting that the movie to be filmed in this area. The movie is about a bull-riding cowboy and a WFU college student who fall in love. So a couple months ago I came across the Mitchell River House which was main character’s home. Now the house is a VBRO and wedding venue. Ha!! I was like how cool is this and it was used in a movie, perfect location for photos and only about an hour away from Winston-Salem. When I met Jessica to talk about her wedding plans and details. She asked me if I’d ever seen the movie “The Longest Ride“? I knew exactly where this conversation was going and my eyes went wide. Jessica had found the Mitchell River House to be close to her wedding venue in Elkin, NC. They will be staying there for the wedding weekend and we did her engagement session there. Talk about fangirl moment. It is just like the movie!!! And so ideal and perfect setting for Jessica and Chad. Chad was formerly a rodeo cowboy. We spent the afternoon amongst the property at the Mitchell River house. A lot of laughs and learned quite a few interesting facts about the movie. I’m over here still swooned by these incredible photos. Like a scene from a movie, Jessica and Chad are so dreamy. I’m such a sucker for a beautiful white house with black shutters but this beautiful engaged couple are what truly brought the images to perfection! Congratulations Jessica and Chad!
