As most of you should know or do know already, I hardly ever get up early in the mornings. Nine or ten o’clock is fine and occasionally after eleven o’clock sometimes. This morning I woke up about ten o’clock and was checking the weather, I was in disbelief that it was still 25 degrees outside and it’s March 15th!! This is crazy North Carolina weather. Jack, my Jack Russell also despises cold weather and refuses to get out of bed. While still laying in bed I was California dreaming! How neat would it be to live in an area where the weather stays moderately the same all year long. No hot or cold, especially not hot and cold on the same day. What better day than a day like today to show you a photoshoot from the coastline of California.
This year before heading out to Las Vegas for another WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) conference, with other photographer friends, we decided to take a couple days before to adventure in California. We had never been on the West Coast. La Jolla, California is incredible. Especially the sea lions out sunbathing. I really wanted to bring one home that I had a close encounter with and named him Sammy! After our original photoshoot plans had fallen through, our wonderful friend, Michele (Magnolia Photography) volunteered to be our model in a hand-dyed custom dress from Coastal Knot. It was gorgeous and very fitting for the rocky coastline and blue waters.
