Goodness, I really don’t know where to start when trying to tell you the story of how we set up Ric’s proposal to Amanda! About a week ago I met Ric when he came into Jessica’s salon to have a hair cut. My fabulous friend Jessica had already suggested to Ric having his proposal photographed. I have to give credit to Jessica because really it was all of her ideas. Amanda was needing her hair done this week and Ric was all ready to propose. Just so you know, Jessica does a lot of the hair for my brides and my other shoots. I highly recommend her! She told Amanda that she could schedule her in Wednesday afternoon and asked if would be okay for her to be a model that I was going to take a few head shots for her portfolio. No problem Amanda was all in! Sneaky Jessica even made sure her nails and makeup were also done. Everything was going great and our plan was working out perfectly. Though I’m always nervous because I don’t want the surprise to be revealed beforehand. That almost happened when Ric had to call because he couldn’t find us. I really thought it was over, luckily I pretended to be talking to Ashley who couldn’t find some ladies house! Haha I didn’t know what else to say but it worked! Finally I spotted Ric coming down the hill towards us. I told Amanda to turn around that I needed a few back of head shots of her hair. There Ric was one knee,I love the expression in his face right before he said her name so she’d turn around [photo 2]. Though that nearly scared her but in the end she was completely surprised by his proposal. She said yes with tears in her eyes. Even sweet little Brandon joined in for a few photos! I’m incredibly happy that Ric shared his proposal with me for everyone to see. The photos are beyond gorgeous! Congratulations Ric and Amanda!
